Pedestrian struck, killed on Route 13 in New Castle County

WILMINGTON MANOR, Del. (WPVI) -- A crash in New Castle County, Delaware left a pedestrian dead on Wednesday night.

It happened at 9:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Route 13 near Bacon Avenue in Wilmington Manor.

Delaware State Police say a pickup truck hit a 50-year-old man.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver remained to speak to authorities.

The crash remains under investigation.
