Pennsylvania family finds prehistoric megalodon tooth at Jersey Shore

SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Pennsylvania family is back home with an unusual souvenir from their trip to the Jersey Shore.

They found a prehistoric megalodon tooth!

The Bowers family was searching for shells in Sea Isle City when they made the discovery.

The father says he noticed something odd stuck inside a rock on the coastline. That's when he called his son over to help pull it out.

The Cape May Whale Watch and Reserve Center has since confirmed the discovery.

The family says they intend to keep the tooth and keep telling the awesome story that comes with it.
