PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Pennsylvania SPCA is caring for two additional dogs in connection with a case involving puppies left outside a Philadelphia shelter last week.
Officials say tips led investigators to a home on the 1200 block of West Russell Street on Monday, where they found two dogs outside in the extreme heat.

On Friday, two puppies suffering from severe neglect were abandoned outside of ACCT Philly. Surveillance footage shows two women arriving in a vehicle, exiting with a box, and leaving it outside the facility before driving away.
Staff members discovered the box shortly after and found the puppies inside, suffering from necrotic wounds and severe maggot infestations.
All of the dogs are now recovering.
