HARRISBURG, Pa. (WPVI) -- The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled Monday that skill games are illegal.
The ruling follows arguments made by the Office of Attorney General that the electronic machines operate as unlicensed and unregulated slot machines.
They also argued that the element of skill in the games does not exempt them from state gambling laws.
The judge's ruling will go into effect in 120 days.
There are currently about 70,000 skill game machines operating in numerous convenience stories, bar/restaurants, and other establishments across Pennsylvania.
