Pennsylvania's measles outbreak grows to 624 cases
Pennsylvania's measles outbreak continues to grow, with health officials reporting an additional 91 new cases in the past seven days.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WPVI) -- Pennsylvania's measles outbreak continues to grow, with health officials reporting an additional 91 new cases in the past seven days.

According to the health department, a total of 624 measles cases have been reported statewide across 37 counties as of Wednesday.

The outbreak has resulted in 109 hospitalizations.

Health officials also reported an increase in vaccination efforts. Doctors administered 46,000 vaccinations in August, while an additional 6,200 vaccinations were given at state-run pop-up clinics.

The latest figures come as health officials continue to monitor the outbreak and vaccination efforts across Pennsylvania.
