
EASTTOWN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A person was seriously injured after a large tree branch fell in Easttown Township, Chester County.
The Berwyn Fire Company was called out to the 400 block of Old Lancaster Road around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday for a report of a person trapped under a tree.
When first responders arrived, rescuers found a person pinned between a riding lawn mower and a large tree branch.

Rescuers were able to quickly free the person, who was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Crews called in help from the Paoli Fire Company, as Berwyn officials were responding to a brush fire in the area of Lafayette Road near the Norfolk Southern Railway in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, around the same time.
A short time later, a woman and child were also injured after a tree fell in Philadelphia's Fox Chase section.
That incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 7700 block of Burholme Avenue.
Their injuries were said to be minor.
There was no immediate word on what caused either tree to suddenly fall.
