PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- National Avocado Day was celebrated in Philadelphia with a friendly competition to determine who makes the area's best guacamole.
6abc's Sarah Bloomquist emceed the sixth annual Top Guac competition in North Philadelphia.
The event was held at the Philabundance Community Kitchen, where culinary students teamed up with GIANT store managers to create unique guacamole recipes in hopes of earning the title of "best guac."
The winning recipe was whipped up by Kaheim Love-Miller, a graduate of the Philabundance Community Kitchen, and GIANT store manager Sarah Hamel.
The Giant Company donated nearly 60,000 avocados for the event.
