Philadelphia Insurance Companies helps animals stay warm this winter

JUNIATA (WPVI) -- This winter will be a little less bitter for hundreds of animals in Philadelphia thanks to the kindness of Philadelphia Insurance Companies employees.

Action News was there as one of those employees and devoted animal advocate Jean McCarthy and her helpers brought in bags of donations to the PSPCA in Juniata Tuesday afternoon.

Each contained dozens of blankets.

These wraps will comfort dogs and cats as they wait to find their forever homes.

In total, McCarthy handed over about 1,000 blankets on behalf of Philadelphia Insurance Companies.
