Mayor Cherelle Parker speaks at American Jewish Committee Lecture

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A community in Old City celebrated both the 250th anniversary of the United States and the Jewish population's contributions to American history.

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker was the keynote speaker at Thursday's "American Jewish Committee Murray Friedman Memorial Lecture."

It was hosted by Congregation Mikveh Israel.

The program honed in on the belief that people from all backgrounds can find common ground in the City of Philadelphia.
