PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Museum of Art hosted a preview of a new exhibition focused on the Rocky statue at the base of the museum's steps.
The exhibition is titled, "Rising Up: Rocky and the Making of Monuments."
It is timed to coincide with the nation's 250th anniversary and the 50th anniversary release of the "Rocky" film.
A talk on Thursday featured guest curator, Paul Farber, and Jacqui Frazier- Lyde, daughter of boxing great, Joe Frazier.
A statue of Smokin' Joe will move to the base of the Art Museum steps, where Rocky once stood.
Frazier-Lyde said Sylvester Stallone based some of his iconic film series on her father.
The exhibit opens to the public on Saturday, April 25th.
