Philadelphia's school selection process postponed to October

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia's school selection process will begin later than usual this year.
The district is still waiting for state officials to finalize standardized test scores.
The process will now open on October 5 and close on November 24.
Students will use both their 2025 assessment results and the official 2026 data as part of their applications this year.
The selective admissions process was originally scheduled to open next week.
