PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Ever since 2005, this small business has been a community staple.
Philly AIDS Thrift has a large assortment of goods, with a mission to donate money to HIV organizations in the area.
So far, they have raised over $5 million to support people in need.
"A couple of friends and I started the organization. I like to say that we're longtime AIDS activists and lovers of junk, so we kind of put the two together and this is what we created. Here we are almost 21 years later. And so to me, this has kind of been a lifelong passion," said Executive Director, Christina Kallas-Saristoglou.
