
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a 7-year-old girl in North Philadelphia has been taken into custody.
U.S. Marshals arrested 30-year-old Alfredo Marrero on Tuesday afternoon. Police say Marrero fired several shots at a car on the 3000 block of North Marshall Street on Oct. 28.

The vehicle, driven by the girl's mother, was struck three times. One of the bullets hit the child in the arm as she sat in the backseat. She is currently recovering.
Investigators believe Marrero was targeting the vehicle. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
