PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Faith leaders from all backgrounds attended the School District of Philadelphia's inaugural faith-based summit on Thursday.
More than 130 pastors, priests, rabbis and other religious leaders gathered at the Dr. Constance E. Clayton Education Center in Spring Garden.
The goal is to build deeper relationships between faith organizations and the school district. The group also wants to support academic achievement and well-being among its student body.
The meeting was held as part of Accelerate Philly, the district's 5-year strategic plan aimed at fostering new partnerships.
