'Shoot 360' brings high-tech basketball gym to Norristown
NORRISTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Imagine a video game where your controller is a basketball. And your objective is to become a better athlete.
'Shoot 360' is a high-tech basketball gym popping up with franchise locations around the country.
Inside, members can utilize exercise bays featuring interactive screens. Here, they can play mini games by throwing a real basketball at targets on the screen.
Down in the gym, members can use the Splash Meter technology to get real-time statistics about their shooting technique.
Two locations are now open in southeastern Pennsylvania. One is located on the campus of Cheyney University in Glen Mills and the other is in Norristown.
They are collectively known as 'Shoot 360 Philadelphia.'
Recently, Shoot 360 Philadelphia partnered with the NOMO Foundation to provide kids with a month-long membership to test out the technology and build skills off the court.
Shoot 360 operates on a membership basis and also offers a free workout to new members.
