Sinkhole closes portion of Schuylkill River Trail in Center City Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A stretch of the Schuylkill River Trail between Race Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard is closed for emergency repair work.

A sinkhole opened up under the trails, north of the SEPTA bridge.

Crews put up fencing to block off the impacted part of the trail.

It is unclear how long the repairs will take.
