Sojourn 250 Flag arrives in Cape May County, New Jersey

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, N.J. (WPVI) -- The Sojourn 250 Flag is now flying in Cape May County, New Jersey.

A flag raising ceremony was held on Thursday at the Gerald M. Thornton Veterans' Cemetery in Cape May Court House.

The flag is part of a nationwide traveling initiative that honors fallen veterans by flying the same banner at veteran cemeteries across the country.

The Sojourn 250 Flag began its U.S. journey in October 2025.

It has been flown at cemeteries throughout the United States and in U.S. territories.

The flag will remain in Cape May County through Thursday, May 22, before continuing to the next state.
