Verizon FiOS service restored following dayslong outage in Gloucester County

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Internet service is back in Gloucester County, New Jersey, after homes and businesses lost connection for several days.

Verizon FiOS tells Action News that service was restored around 8 p.m. Thursday.

A Verizon spokesperson says a third party accidentally cut a fiber line and severe weather slowed down repairs.

Several stores, including Dick's Sporting Goods and Macy's in Deptford, are now back open after closing because of technical issues.
