EWING, N.J. (WPVI) -- Dramatic new video shows a high-speed crash involving a stolen vehicle in Ewing, Mercer County, last year.
The New Jersey Attorney General's Office made the footage public on Thursday.
Police responded to a call for a vehicle theft of a white Kia in the area of Clover Avenue around 6:24 p.m. on December 19, 2025.
An officer, who noticed a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle, attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Coolidge and Pennington avenues.
The Kia did not stop, officials say.
Police say teenagers in the stolen Kia were driving erratically and at a high speed when they ran a red light at Prospect Street and Parkway Avenue. The driver hit a red Subaru that was traveling eastbound on Parkway Avenue, as well as a traffic pole during the chase.
There were four people inside the Subaru at the time of the crash. A juvenile passenger was ejected from the vehicle when it was struck by the fleeing Kia and later died.
The light pole that was struck fell onto the Kia, as well as the officer's vehicle.
The other occupants of the Subaru were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, as was the driver of the Kia.
The officer in the patrol vehicle damaged by the pole was also treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the officers involved were in marked cars and had their emergency lights activated.
The identity of the juvenile who was fatally injured in the crash, as well as the others in the Subaru are not being released at this time, officials said.
The teenagers are facing several charges.
