WASHINGTON (WPVI) -- A man from South Jersey was arrested in Washington, D.C., for allegedly possessing explosives before a gathering of the traditional Red Mass Sunday morning.
Police say there were more than 200 devices found inside the tent of 41-year-old Louis Geri of Vineland, New Jersey.
The Vineland man erected a tent on the steps of St. Matthew Cathedral, just hours before the annual Red Mass service.
Vials of liquid and explosives were found inside.
Geri is due in court this Thursday on numerous charges, including possession of a destructive device.
Geri is charged with unlawful entry, threats to injury and possession of a molotov cocktail.
Geri was previously barred from the property.
The arrest happened just hours before the Red Mass, which marks the opening of the Supreme Court's annual term.
