Woman rescued after man sets fire to home during barricade situation in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police responded to a barricade situation overnight in Wilmington, Delaware.

The man set fire to a home during the standoff and a woman had to be rescued from the third floor apartment, police said.

This all started when police confronted a man with a knife around 3 a.m. on Wednesday along the 200 block of North Rodney Street.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody.
