Philadelphia police said a man took his own life after firing shots at officers and medics while barricaded inside a home in the city's Logan section Sunday night.
A barricade situation at a SEPTA station in Lower Merion Twp. ended with a suspect being taken into custody on a gurney.
The man set fire to a home during the standoff and a woman had to be rescued, police said.
Police say the suspect was stopped by officers earlier and that he fled on foot into the home after officers noticed he had a gun on him.
A man is on the run after allegedly shooting his girlfriend, who then drove herself to a nearby Wawa for help Thursday night.
