PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- With the exception of holidays and extreme cases of Mother Nature, nothing gets in the way of the postal service.
The pope's visit is proving to be the exception to the rule as no mail will be delivered Saturday, Sept., 26, to specified areas within the city.
Residents living in zip codes 19104, 19107, 19130, and 19122 will not get a visit from their local mailman or woman on Saturday, officials said.
In addition, the postal service will remove the blue collection mailboxes from those neighborhoods during the pope's visit for safety purposes.
The mailboxes will be removed Thursday, Sept. 24, and reinstalled Sunday, Sept. 27.
