A fraternity at a university in New England is showing the true meaning of brotherhood by helping one of their disabled members.

It is a Quinnipiac University's tradition to hike what is known as the sleeping giant on Mount Carmel.

Joey Mullaney couldn't experience the hike because he has a rare neuro-muscular disorder, and uses a wheelchair.

Last year, his brothers in the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity decided to change that.

One by one, they each carried him up the trail to see the inspiring view.

Joey says "Took the view in, it's unreal up there. Just took in who was with me. And, just being up there, I don't know, it's just something I'll never forget."

The fraternity brothers were so inspired they started a ten mile bike race at Quinnipiac University to race money for a cure for Friedreich's Ataxia, Mullaney's condition.

They raised $30,000 last year.
