Monument plaques stolen in Reading, Pa.

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials say four bronze plaques are missing from a statue in Reading, Pennsylvania of brewing pioneer, Frederick Lauer.

The likeness of Lauer has stood in Reading's City Park for more than 100 years.

Officials will be checking local scrap yards to see if the vandals cashed in on the stolen metal plates.
