WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Authorities say the pursuit of a reckless driver in West Philadelphia ended in a crash that left three people injured, including a police officer.
It happened around 5:45 Thursday afternoon.
Officers were following the driver of a red vehicle southbound in the area of 55th and Cambridge Streets.
The pursuit ended when police say the driver hit a parked car.
One police officer and two civilian drivers suffered minor injuries. They were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment.
Police say nine vehicles in all were involved but they are still trying to determine exactly who struck which cars.
No word on any charges against the reckless driver.
