Sandbar shark spotted in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

REHOBOTH BEACH, Delaware (WPVI) -- It was quite a show over the weekend at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Beachgoers were surprised to see a shark swimming in the surf this past Sunday.

An Action News viewer was in the crowd that assembled on the north end of the beach to watch the shark come ashore.

The sandbar shark was reportedly sick and died shortly before lifeguards came to remove it.
