PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Looking for a space to host a gathering in Philadelphia? 6abc's Jessica Boyington has a list of spots for you!
From the owners of Southwark comes, Ambra! An intricate Italian tasting menu and wine pairing coursed out in an intimate, cozy dining room fit for twelve people. You will be greeted with some small bites and a cocktail, eventually sitting for a delicious dinner with dishes that only can be described as "artwork that you can eat".
For a larger event space with a private bar, lounge, and dining area that fits up to 100 people, try Rex and the Royal on South Street. The menu is Southern inspired with some coastal influences, so you'll be eating a meal that is unique in Philadelphia.
What I loved:
-Buttery Biscuits with Blueberry Jam
-Broiled oysters roasted garlic butter, lemon, bacon, spinach, and Texas aioli
-Shrimp and Grits
Giumarello's in Westmont is an Italian seafood and steakhouse staple in New Jersey...Their bar, patio, and gigantic martinis are for sure some of the biggest draws...but what if I told you there's more? It's the G-Speakeasy! A swanky cocktail bar, lounge and event space, hidden behind a wall appearing to be a wine cellar. Inside you'll find a lit up bar top, feathered light fixtures, leopard carpet, and purple booths, sure to warm even the coldest of Jersey hearts. The space can hold up to forty-five people for a private event, and you can pick the menu! Give Frank a call if you want to party G-style.
