JUNIATA (WPVI) -- Three people are recovering after a school bus and a Honda collided in the Juniata section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:40 a.m. Friday on East Wyoming Street near Ramona Avenue and Tacony Creek Park.

Officials tell Action News three people were on board the First Student bus, which was en route to Hancock Middle School's LaBrum campus: the driver, a bus attendant, and a 15-year-old student.

All three were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Video from Chopper 6 showed the injured being loaded onto stretchers and taken to waiting ambulances.

The driver of the Honda was not injured and remained at the scene. That vehicle showed signs of the impact, including heavy front-end damage.

The rear of the bus was angled against a concrete barrier and appeared to have front-end damage as well.

Wyoming Avenue was shut down for hours as police officers took measurements, snapped photos, and tried to determine the cause of the crash.
