Trudy Haynes receives Living Legacy Award
Nation's first African American Weather reporter was honored at Pa. Convention Ctr.

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The nation's first African American Weather reporter was honored Friday at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.



At its 46th anniversary celebration, the Urban Affairs Coalition gave Trudy Haynes the Living Legacy Award, for breaking barriers.



Haynes formerly worked at our sister station in Detroit, she also went on to become the first black TV reporter in Philadelphia, in 1965.
