PB&J donations to benefit needy families

DREXEL HILL, PA. (WPVI) -- Some needy families will soon be enjoying thousands of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, thanks to generous donors.

60 archdiocesan schools and 4 senior centers collected 50,000 pounds of pb&j for 40 local food cupboards.

It's enough sandwich making material to last all year.

Officials applauded the efforts Monday at Monsignor Bonner Archbishop Prendergast high school.
