Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown said Saturday that X-rays on star center Joel Embiid's left ankle came back negative, and the injury is not as severe as originally thought.
The center showed as much Saturday night, collecting 27 points and 14 rebounds in a 105-103 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
Embiid didn't favor his ankle while recording his sixth double-double in as many games to start the season.
"I'm good,'' he said.
He rolled the ankle when he stepped on teammate Amir Johnson's foot at the end of practice Friday.
