Judge rules NCAA can't cap athlete compensation related to education

A judge is opening the door for more compensation for college athletes.

Last week, a federal district court judge in California ruled amateurism rules barring payment beyond scholarships violates antitrust laws.

The judge determined schools compensate athletes for education-related expenses such as postgraduate scholarships, tutoring, studying abroad and computers.
