UPPER PROVIDENCE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man who police say held them at bay for hours in Delaware County surrendered.
The standoff began just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Beatty and Crum Creek Roads in Upper Providence.
Police arrived on the scene to find that the unidentified man had locked himself in a home.
The Action News Chopper 6 HD flew over the police standoff and showed several police cruisers surrounding the home.
After hours of negotiations, the man surrendered to officers and he was taken into custody without incident.
Police are still looking into why he barricaded himself in the Delaware County home.
No charges have been filed.
