Student hospitalized after fight outside George Washington High School

SOMERTON (WPVI) -- A student is hospitalized after a fight outside George Washington High School in the Somerton section of Philadelphia.

It happened just before 3 p.m. Friday outside the school located at Bustleton Avenue and Verree Road.

School officials say two students were involved in a fight off school property, when a third student got involved and was injured.

He was taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital. The extent of his injuries and condition are unknown.

Police are investigating.

So far, no charges have been filed.
