Man shot in foot in Tacony

TACONY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that injured one person in Tacony.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Benner and Hegerman streets.

Arriving officers found several shell casings on the street and several parked cars that were struck by gunfire.

The male victim had already been taken to the hospital prior to police arriving.

The victim, shot once in the foot, is expected to be OK.

No arrests have been made.
