The cost of college is going up for thousands of Pennsylvania students for the 2026-2027 school year.
Previously, families that earn less than $65,000 a year received full financial support from the Mercer County-based university.
Temple University is increasing tuition by 4%, and Rutgers announced a 6% hike.
University of North Carolina will be covering all tuition and fees for undergraduates who meet certain financial requirements.
Princeton University announced that students with a household income of less than $100,000 a year will not have to pay for tuition or room and board starting in 2023. Students can also get an annual personal and book allowance of up to $4,050 per school year.
For those who qualify, the 50% discount will slash the cost to attend to about $28,000.
