Critter blamed for power outage in Bucks County

TINICUM TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- An unwelcome visitor is being blamed for causing a power outage for 1500 customers at a power substation in Tinicum Township, Pennsylvania.



An official from Met Ed says crews are working to fix the problem that began around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.



The incident also caused several small fires at residences. Traffic lights in the area were also out.



Crews are hoping to have the power restored by noon.



Officials have not said what type of critter knocked out the power.
