SEPTA says the Route 15 trolley was traveling eastbound when it collided with a passenger car. Three people were hurt.

PARKSIDE (WPVI) -- A trolley accident that left three people injured caused some delays along one SEPTA route.

It happened at 8:40 a.m. Monday at 41st Street and Girard Avenue in the Parkside section of Philadelphia.

A Route 15 trolley was traveling eastbound when it collided with a passenger car.

SEPTA tells Action News the trolley operator and two trolley passengers suffered minor injuries.

There was no immediate word if anyone from the car was hurt.

SEPTA was providing shuttle bus service in both directions between 26th Street and 63rd Street along Girard Avenue as police investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.
