PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- On the last day of January, temperatures in the 50s made the city feel more like spring than winter.

"We rode around the city all day," said Travis Manar of Maryland. "We did not have our jackets on the entire time. It was great."

"It was nice just to be able to walk outside with just a shirt and pants on," said Bryan Williams of Conshohocken.

In Rittenhouse, people dined outside and strolled through the park.

In Fairmount, we caught Sabrina Webster of Brewery Town dressed for winter, but enjoying ice cream.

"It's just the weather. The weather is just weird," said Webster.

It was just a week ago, Mother Nature hammered the Delaware Valley with record-breaking snow that left many digging out for days.

"I know people would kill us for saying that, I actually wouldn't mind another blizzard," said Colleen Masters of Fairmount. "We missed it, and it was like you gotta have that one good snowstorm."

But the droves of people soaking up the sun and dodging melting piles of snow on Kelly Drive tell a different story.

"I'm out for a run on the Schuylkill River Trail, and I'm wearing shorts and a T-shirt today," said David Skinner of Center City.

Connie Chadwick of Pitman, New Jersey, tells us she felt overdressed for the warm weather.

"Of course, of course, you see snow with summer weather," said Chadwick.
