HAVERTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- John and Mary Josephine Egan emigrated separately from Ireland and then met in Philadelphia in the 1960s.
After six decades of marriage, one of their favorite activities is meeting fellow Irish seniors at the Irish Diaspora Center.
Among many programs and social services, the center offers a 'Silver to Gold' luncheon program for seniors.
Lunch takes place there every Wednesday. However, on the third Wednesday of the month, it is instead held at the Commodore John Barry Arts and Cultural Center.
Watch the video above to see what it means to seniors who came to America 50, 60, or even 70 years ago.
