LANSFORD, Pa. (WPVI) -- In this edition of One Tank Trips, we are going underground - and back in time - for an up-close look at a coal mine in Carbon County.
The No. 9 Coal Mine operated from 1855 until 1972.
The coal it produced powered the region and provided jobs for thousands of men during tough times.
The No. 9 Coal Mine and Museum is located in Lansford, Pennsylvania, less than two hours from Philadelphia.
Action News Photojournalist Todd Haas takes us there.
