Officials at Villanova University say two students suffered very minor injuries in an incident on campus Tuesday morning.

The incident was reported around 10:00 a.m. in the 800 block of E. Lancaster Avenue.

According to the university, the students were in a chem lab when a higher concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide splashed on their skin, causing skin irritation on their arms.

They both declined medical transportation and merely washed the irritated area with soap and water.

Initial reports indicated that the students had suffered chemical burns. However, the university says there was no chemical spill.

Villanova says they did initially call out emergency services, but the request was recalled after finding that the injuries the students sustained did not require medical transport.
