Dozens of pregnant women infected with Zika virus in Lancaster County: Registered Nurse Ali Gorman reports during Action News at 5 p.m. on June 20, 2017.

LANCASTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- The Zika virus is causing serious concerns for health officials in Lancaster County.

Dozens of pregnant women there have been infected by or exposed to the virus. All were exposed outside the area or through sexual contact.

Thousands of Lancaster County residents have ties to the Caribbean, where Zika has been widespread.

So far, there haven't been any problems with babies born to these women, but, neurological issues may not show up for a year, so the infants are being monitored closely.
