Man loses eye in BB gun prank

WEST PHILADELPHIA - January 6, 2008 Oscar Harris remains hospitalized at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after being shot in the eye on Friday. According to police a group of teens pulled out a BB gun and tried to rob him, shooting him in the eye.

Action News is told he has since lost the eye.

Harris may not be the only victim of the hoodlums. Another victim tells us that she was shot after that group of teens in West Philadelphia cornered her the same day.

For a split second Caroline Moore thought she was dead. Moore was walking down the 6200 block of Spruce Street going home from work when a group of teens approached.

The pack of teens wouldn't let her leave, so Moore grabbed her cell phone and tried to call 911.

One of the teens allegedly shot her in the eye at point blank range. Fortunately it was a BB gun. Her glasses blocked the shot and saved her from serious damage.

Police have arrested a 13 and 14-year-old. Their names are not being released because they're juveniles.
