Dominatrix spared jail time

BEDFORD, N.Y.(AP) - January 29, 2008 Sandra Chemero copped a plea to disorderly conduct in the swanky New York City suburb yesterday and was sentenced to 30 hours of community service. Her lawyer says prosecutors agreed to drop prostitution and weapons charges against her. Chemero plied her trade out of a Victorian home on a four-acre estate. Her lawyer contended there was nothing illegal about employing whips, chains and leather straps while working as a dominatrix and says she never offered any sexual acts for money.
