But at least Besar has an excuse. Yesterday, a team of experts armed with anesthetic and a shotgun performed a root canal on the 225-pound animal at Bloomington's Miller Park Zoo.
Besar's dental woes were discovered more than a year ago, when zoo staff notice the animal's broken lower canine tooth.
The cat's tooth was drilled and filled by a team using special equipment to clean the three-inch long root.
Besar is said to be recovering just fine.
