Robber leaves W-2 behind

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - March 3, 2008

Police in Des Moines, Iowa, report a man robbed a Git-N-Go convenience store and left behind his W-2 form.

According to officers, the bandit told the clerk he had a gun.

At some point during the robbery, police say the suspect took off his hat and coat, then left them behind.

Police investigating the crime found the W-2 form with the suspect's name in a coat pocket.

Police say the name matched that of a man 25-year-old with a suspended driver's license, who is on probation for theft.

The man's description also matched information provided by the store clerk.

Police report they are still looking for the forgetful robber.
