One of the 147 passengers says everyone was scared but an aviation expert happened to be onboard and determined the plane could make it all the way safely.
The pilots slowed down and dropped altitude, and the passengers left the row with the cracked window.
US Airways tells Action News it does not know why the panel dislodged and the plane has been taken out of service.
