Greenwood man arrested in Bridgeville homicide

Bridgeville, DE - April 9, 2008 At approximately 12:56 a.m., state police dispatchers received a 911 call from a residence located along the 7500 block of West Newton Road (RD 582) west of Bridgeville. The caller advised someone had been shot.

Upon arrival, investigators located the deceased victim inside the home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Several witnesses were contacted at the scene and identified 49-year-old Millard E. Price 3rd, of Greenwood as the suspect who shot the victim with a shotgun. The gun has not been recovered.

After shooting the victim, Price stole a neighbor's 1996 teal/green Mazda pick-up truck possibly bearing a Delaware registration plate of CL87032.

During their investigation homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Price charging him with the murder of 39-year-old Keith K. Kirby of Bridgeville.

In addition to being charged with Murder in the First Degree, Price has been charged with Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, both felonies.

Millard E. Price 3rd was arraigned this afternoon on three felony charges including Murder 1st Degree. He was ordered held without bail and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution. The investigation is continuing at the time of this release.

### Price fled the scene and is being sought by police. Price is described as a white male, 255 lbs, 6'0" tall, blue eyes, and brown hair. Price's last known address is the 400 block of East Market Street, Greenwood, DE. Price should be considered armed and dangerous. The deceased has been turned over to the State Medical Examiner for further investigation and final determination. The identity of the victim will be released once next of kin are notified. State Police are also attempting to locate a female witness by the name of Deborah Wells, of Bridgeville. Wells is described as a white female, approximately thirty-seven years old. This investigation is in its' in the early hours. No additional information is available at this time.
